Lots of Avengers News; None Of It Entirely Exciting or Likely To Happen

New York Comic Con went down last weekend, and one of the major films in attendance was Marvel’s Avengers.  When not giggling like school girls over the presence of Tim Hiddleston, the Avengers Q&A attendees were bombarding Marvel President Kevin Fiege with questions regarding the most-Avengers future of Marvel films.  Among his answers to those questions included: Iron Man 3, Avengers 2, and a possible team up betweenDr. Strange and The Incredible Hulk.

/Film has the full details, but Fiege said, among other things, the following:

We’re in pre-production on a movie called Iron Man 3 right now. We’ve got a great director called Shane Black who’s taking the reins. It’s the first of what we refer to Phase Two of this Avengers Assemble talk, which will lead to an Avengers 2. Those movies will be a part of that.

And when asked by IGN if the lineup will change for Avengers 2:

Absolutely [there will be a new line up]. That’s the fun of it — introducing new characters. Seeing how will things change after Iron Man goes through his next adventure? After Thor goes through his next adventure? If we do another Cap adventure, how will things change? The dynamic between them? Their own worlds? So that the dynamic in Avengers 2 is actually quite different than it is in the first one.

And as far as Doctor Strange is concerned, IGN asked Fiege about The Docs possible involvement in future Marvel films and Fiege responded with something along the lines of “that would be neat”.  So nothing concrete on that front, but it’s still news I guess?

Anyways, I’m sure all of this comes with a bit of excitement for everyone, but I for some reason can’t really bring myself to care about The Avengers.
